Nurturing support for neurodivergent children and their families

About Nurturing Needs

Hello and welcome to Nurturing Needs. Nurturing Needs is a specialist service for neurodivergent children and their families. We offer a range of services to support children, families and professionals that work within this field. We currently operate across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire and have a wonderful base located in Southwell. Accessing support for your neurodivergent child can be difficult, there are many professionals and services with different approaches and perspectives, which can be overwhelming and lead to more confusion for you.

Let me tell you a little about myself and how Nurturing Needs was born. I’m Leane, mum to two neurodivergent children with very different needs. I am also a graduate psychologist specialising in neurodiversity and am currently studying a Master of Art in Special Educational Needs and Disability. In addition to this, I am a late diagnosed autistic adult. My approach to supporting children, families and professionals can be described as neuro-affirming, this means that I see you child and their differences as unique and individual and offer support that validates individuality, personal preferences and approaches that I would recommend are not to change your child, but to empower them and you to navigate their needs in a positive and supported way.
